You can then keep your cranberry sauce in the fridge for a week without worrying it will go bad.
The primary sweetener in this cranberry relish is the addition of other friut! The apples and orange flavors balance the tartness of the cranberries. But also add honey to sweeten to your preference.

I love the extra fruit in this homemade cranberry sauce
- 2 lbs cranberries i get a large bag at Costco
- 1 apple peeled and diced
- juice from 1 orange
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1 tbsp honey optional
Cook everything until cranberries are soft. Stirring occasionally. Right before serving, add more of the orange peel for decoration.
It's simple but makes such a difference when it's homemade.
