Cinnamon Chocolate Overnight Oats with Chia

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp cocoa nibs optional, but I love them!
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon more or less to taste
  • 1 tbsp 100% pure maple syrup
  • 2-3 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 3 tbsp Greek Yogurt, Plain
  • 3/4 cup milk of your choice
  • pinch of salt
  • additional sliced almonds, cocoa nibs, coconut shavings, or even a drizzle of maple syrup for toppings based on your preference
  1. Put all the ingredients into a container with a lid, like a Mason or Ball jar. Close the lid and shake until all the ingredients are well mixed and uniform. Put the container in the fridge overnight. In the morning, open, stir and enjoy breakfast.
  2. If you are like me and are missing the gene for cold oats, microwave for 2 minutes and stir.
  3. Add your favorite toppings and serve!
