Joy, thank you. I love cooking with my kids. Though I will admit that is often takes longer than if I do it myself. But it is such a good life skill for them to develop. I hope our efforts together in the kitchen result in kids who are knowledgeable and self sufficient in the kitchen as adults!!

In reply to <a href="https://www.mynourishedhome.com/fresh-fruit-pizza-with-a-whole-wheat-crust/comment-page-1/#comment-1148">Lauren @ Sew You Think You Can Cook</a>.

Thank you Lauren! I think it is so important for kids to grow up being comfortable in the kitchen at home. It really defines what is normal for them as they grow up when it comes to food and eating well. I have a two year old and a four year old that love to be in the kitchen with me too. The four year old amazes me daily what she can do! And I also have a 15 year old that will eat anything I put on the table. (Except cilantro!) Truly, anything. Kale, salads, beets, anything. There was a long time I thought we would never get to that point but as she got older, she started really putting it together. It is the thing that keeps me from getting discouraged when the little kids object to foods that are healthy. We focus on the long game! :)

This pie is beautiful. Your daughter deserves a big high five for making that crust, too! I can't wait until my little man is old enough to play in the kitchen with me. He does like crawling in to play with the tupperware, though. :)

1) I love this as a healthy dessert idea. With all the gorgeous Spring fruit hitting the markets, I can't wait to try this out.
2) I love, love that your 4 year old made the crust! My 2 year old is starting to want to help me cook, and I'm really hoping her interest continues.
