Hein - I love that we are in opposite seasons! It works well for me to see all of your lovely spring and summer recipes while winter is here. It gives me lots of time to plan all the things I am going to eat!! The only downside of living on the other side of the world is it is hard for me to wrangle a dinner party invitation when you are cooking! I would happily volunteer to be a taste tester!

In reply to <a href="https://www.mynourishedhome.com/creole-style-gumbo/comment-page-1/#comment-729">Thalia @ butter and brioche</a>.

Thalia - It is amazing. And filling. And tastes like home for me. My personal opinion is that Gumbo that relies too heavily on roux misses an opportunity. While most traditional Gumbo is made that way, I like the fresh veg and the savory meats together without all the flour to dampen their tastes. :) Thank you so much for stopping by! I love www.butterandbrioche.com - you are an astonishing photographer and baker. You're blog is on my guilty pleasure list!
